We are in preparation for the first family 4th of July trip to Michigan. Sure we traveled to Michigan with the baby...back in October... He is way bigger and more alert now. Tomorrow we will be in packing mode... Wish us Luck!
The husband has decided to mark this occasion with the decision to quit smoking. I picked up his prescritpion yesterday. I think they should give the family some pills too. This will be a long trip.

G3 loves taking a bath. We have been filling the tub with more water. He loves to try to bend over and drink the water. He splashes water everywhere. Tonight we practiced the back float.

Sore Throat...Happy Feet
G3 went to the doctor today. He has blisters on his tonsils. Fever of 101.1 He doesn't want to eat and will only sleep if he is on top of me. Apparently this is going around. We are having a family day at home in our jammies. We are eating lunch in front of the television. Family movie day. Happy Feet. Wish us luck.

G3 attended his first Latin class on Saturday. We sang songs in Latin like Hot Cross Buns. We also learned that chickens don't say cluck cluck. The Latin version is MeoMeo. I think he was feeling pretty cocky after mastering Latin class and decided to stand by himself.

Front end alignment for the jogging stroller
Recently we suffered a flat tire on the jogging stroller. What do you do in a situation like that? Do you call for a tow? Do you whip out a can of fix a flat? Do you carry a spare underneath the seat? Well we made it home on the flat. I made some phone calls and a local bike shop agreed to fix the tire. While it was in the shop they asked if I would like them to give it a tune up. I agreed. Who knew strollers needed a tune up? They fixed the tire, tightened the brakes, and gave it a front end alignment. It doesn't pull to the left anymore. Yeah! It was quick and convenient. We were back on the road. Gym Class
We attended Gymboree's play class yesterday. We were with kids 6 to 12 months. There were 6 boys and 1 girl. The moms in the group all knew each other. They knew the songs and the routine. It made me very nervous. Most of the kids were older than G3. They were crawling all over the place. G3 would get so made that he couldn't move with them. One kid took his ball. G3 couldn't reach the ball, but was able to get a good smack in to the boy who took the ball. We had kickball, music, parachute, and bubbles. I am still not so sure if I want to join. We are going to check Sunday's play class out and see how that goes.

rain rain go away
We have been hit with rain and wind the past couple of days. g3 had his first power outage. No power for 6 hours. No video. No music. No lights. We had bath by candle light. It was a long 6 hours.
