Shots

Dear G3

I am so sorry you had to get shots today. I tried to brave for you and not cry. You calmed down when I turned the sink on. You love the sound of water. You got two looney tunes band aids that I put in your baby book. Your weight today was 17.8lbs and your height is 25 and 1/4 inches. You are in the 90% for weight and 60% for height.

car seat stalker

So G3 is getting too big for his infant car seat. He is not quite big enough for the next size. I need to find a safe and affordable convertible car seat. You think this would be no big deal. I have been to multiple stores and websites. This is like buying a house. They even have new car seat that a race car driver designed for $450. It is suppose to be the deluxe version and the safest. That would be grand if I were driving on a race track. I have found myself stopping complete strangers in stores and restaurants to ask about car seats. I follow them in the store and wait for the right moment to approach. This is getting out of hand. I need to just pick one. I have even gone so far to call the car manufacturer to ask about the rear airbag. Have they tested it with infants? Is it safe? Can I turn it off?

The baby in the picture is sleeping and looks like she loves the car seat.

So long to the breast pump.....

So long and good riddens to the Medela Breast Pump. I am so thankful to not have to hear the in and out suction noise of the machine which resembles the sound of a milker at a farm. Medela, you have oh so cleverly hidden the pump in a briefcase looking bag with your brown and blue color scheme. This color does not work with anything. I will not miss dragging that bag everywhere and I mean everywhere. I have pumped at work, in the bathroom at a truck stop, in a McDonald's bathroom, at my mother-in-laws retirement home,in the back of a church, in a car, at the salon, and in a friends bathroom. I have pumped in 4 different states. I will not pump here or there. I Will not pump anywhere. I will not miss turning up the television to hear over the pump. I will no longer feel like a pervert sitting at my desk at work with my top up and pumping while people walk around. I will no longer miss the extra cord in my car. It is hard enough to manage a cell phone cord and a radar detector cord. Pumping in the car while driving was not fun and sometimes not so discrete. I am sure I almost crashed a line of semi truck drivers. I will not miss the night shift of pumping in the dark...trying to be discrete as to not wake the whole house.

It is with great pleasure and joy that I bid you fair well.

Sincerely

Dear Husband

My dearest husband

It is not considered babysitting when it is your own son!

Thank you
